Car Break-ins Linthwaite Area

During the week several cars were broken into including an E90 M3. In every case the door cards had been removed then placed on the back seat. Not come across this before. Anyone know whats going on?

Looking for black Boxes. Nephew just had his car done. It appears that due to the proliferation of insurance telemetrics that stolen car can be located by insurer and info passed to police. Seems thieves want to take them out before stealing the car.

Nephew car was same they couldnt locate black box and moved on to another victim.
