I'll be staying in York city centre for a few days at the end of the month, driving up, so will need to park overnight, preferably somewhere covered / secure where my car won't get damaged laugh

Best I've found seems to be the Q-park Shambles but bloody hell it's pricey when you go over 48 hours (£50+).... any better options??

Unless you need the car when you're there consider getting the train. Secure parking is at a premium but you could try a site like JustPark.

I always look at the train options to be fair but it's never really feasible.. I'm about half an hour from Birmingham, so it would take me over an hour to get into central Brum via bus / trian, then it's about 3 hours 20 from New Street to York centre.. It's just a massive ballache and expense laugh

I am not saying there is no crime in York but its a relatively safe area all round. If you don't mind a 20 min walk into York you can maybe park on my driveway which is open to the road but in a quiet area and the street does not have any problems. And it would be free.
PM me if interested.

That's very generous mate, appreciate the offer beer

The Q-park Barbican that Paddy mentioned is actually cheaper than the Shambles that I'd looked at, not by a huge amount but it's only a few minutes extra walk so I'll probably go for that, cheers
