Visited twice now. Once last summer and again at Easter. Although the buildings have come on greatly between visits, I preferred my visit last year as attendants were directing cars to particular places. ie interesting cars parked close to the action and visitors in regular cars parked further away.
Nothing like that on my visit this year, so the new tarmac car parks were filled with anything. A stroll around to look at the cars was like… 2020 McLaren 720, 2022 911 Turbo S, 2013 Fiesta 1.6TDi, 2006 M3 CSL, 2018 Nissan Qashqai, 2020 Vauxhall Insignia. You get the idea. A guy rocked up in a beautiful 60’s Mustang and ended up in what looked like an overspill car park as all the spaces near the event were full of ‘regular’ cars.
I’m really not trying to sound like a car snob but I’d be miffed if I’d spent the morning polishing my pride and joy to find I was at the back of the overspill car park while pride of place was taken by a line up of cars not dissimilar to a wander round your local Tesco.

I've never had an issue with cold bacon roll, but I do agree, for the cost they're not fantastic, but then again they've got some big costs to recoup. The paid events will improve as the year goes on. I think a lot of car clubs haven't made block bookings like they would have done for trax, mod nats, whatever event from your mis-spent youth, and now are. I've seen a BMW club with a decent size block at one of the meets, same with a bunch of classic VW groups.
I think some of the reasons you dislike it, are why so many people actually like it. If you have a theme matching car and turn up early doors (either for your car club booking or riding solo), you get a nice space and a little mini car show ambience.
You turn up later, and you get put wherever, sure they try and put interesting cars in a more prime place, but most people who turn up a few hours after opening are there to wander around and enjoy the more car meet social side of things.
I've lived in the village for 7 months and didn't even realise this existed until two week ago! Walked up with the dog the other week for a little poke around. (though I wouldn't recommend it, pavement disappears rather quickly after the industrial estate and to my knowledge there is no other way by foot, unless you fancy jumping an airfield fence)
Pretty cool place. Shame I have nothing interesting to bring.

Did you not wonder what the constant stream of nice cars was about going through the crossroads every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday...!? 
I am also in the village and have been going regularly since they first opened 2 (?) years ago.
Yes, there is a little of the 'I preferred it before it was popular' and yes, a few too many hatchbacks for my taste sometimes now but its still great, someone is obviously pumping a lot of money into it * and its good to have somewhere dedicated to 'us lot' nearby. Very much in the Caffeine and Machine vein as above.
The building itself is lovely, theyve done a great job so all credit to them.
- Harrison Spinks - the bed company - presumably the gaffer/owner is a bit of a petrolhead as it appears to be their 'bit on the side'

It’s a decent place and they’ve just opened a restaurant as well, steak tartare is really good 
I’ve been there a few times and it appears they do manage the car park in the morning when most people turn up but it becomes bit more chaotic in the afternoon.

They’ve done a great job, a massive change from a couple of years ago. Some of us from our local Lotus club went yesterday to organise having a monthly meet there. Great to have a local venue like this and a nice ride out being near to York. I can see it getting really busy on a weekend, I’ll probably be a regular midweek visitor when it’s quieter.
