Car trailer hire in York(ish)

Hello all,

A friend needs a car moving, and while I have a vehicle with a tow bar and working electrics, I’m not sure where I can borrow or hire a car trailer or A frame from.

A quick internet search has only revealed a valeting place on Layerthorpe which I’m pretty sure closed down a while back.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Now sorted by a loan from a friend of the person moving the car. The Volvo’s clutch lives to fight another day, although there is a place on the A1079 near Barmby Moor who we were going to try - advertises on eBay from £35/day.

Glad you got sorted! Just noticed your AX thread. An interesting read as I also have a weakness for french tat and have had a 205 for a number of years, though it's not in daily use.

Do you have a thread on the 205? Always interested to read about the similar afflications of others…. I had a 205 as my first car (in that it was my name on the log book), which might explain the AX sickness….!
