East Yorks pub meet - 1st Thursday of the month

Shame that nobody made it yesterday evening....I know there were a couple of young lads came along hoping to see some nice cars. At least they enjoyed siting in the Maserati for a while.
Lets try again for March, hopefully the nights will be a little lighter and the weather better.
Next meet will be Thursday 7th March 2019 at the Swan & Cygnet, Main Street, Swanland, East Riding of Yorkshire HU14 3QP from 7:00pm onwards.
Lets see if we can get a few more there this time.

The problem with the Triton (at least in the cooler months) is that they are generally very busy - even on a thursday - and so find it difficult to accommodate us. I know that when we were last meeting there they always wanted me to give them an idea of numbers whihc was pretty much impossible to do as could vary from 1 to 20 turning up.
Is easier in the summer months when we can sit outside !

Been a long time since any kind of PH meet in this area so thought I'd see if there is any interest in getting something going again.
Obviously 2020 was a complete write-off...but now that things are relaxing a bit, perhaps we can start to plan for the summer months.
To avoid clashes with the local TVR Club meet, I'd still suggest aiming for the first thursday of the month (unless there's an overwhelming demand for an alternative day) and it would seem that The Triton at Brantingham is still very much the favoured venue....again, unless a better alternative is suggested.
If anyone has any comments, thoughts, suggestions on how/when/where to meet or if anyone is happy with 1st thursday of the month at The Triton then please let me know and lets get something planned. this was always a good social evening with a wide variety of cars.

As explained on my message earlier Jon, really keen to have this back up and running again, It's a shame its quietened off over the past couple of years!
Some faces you'd see there that don't normally attend the other meets and good to get a variety of cars from the TVRCC meet also, Count me in!!

I'll give the Triton a call on wednesday to sound them out and check all is ok for us to go back there (given the current restrictions that are still in place)

I've just checked with the Triton and they'e OK for us to go along on thursday. No need to book (unless there will be large numbers) at the moment as they're happy to accommodate walk-ins
Current CV-19 restrictions apply of course so it's table service ONLY. Fingers crossed the weather stays fine and we can find table(s) outside.
