We don't know what the buyer actually paid, possibly they're comfortable financially and had one years ago and it's a nostalgia buy.

Yes, he said he was open to offers. I would think he just wants get rid of everything so he can retire, now that he's made the decision. He said he's let the showroom to a light commercial vehicle dealer, so I expect there's a deadline for emptying the place out.

I bought a TVR from him and found honest and straight. Would recommend. An acquaintance of mine bought off Philip Welch and was satisfied with Philip and my acquaintance is the most awkward difficult git . He always found problems with anything he buys or has done , so if could keep him happy he’s a saint.

Noticed in today's Yorkshire Post that he's now vacated the premises and just has four cars left to sell...XJS, 280SL, TR6 and 911Convertible. Presume it's ok to give his number as it's on the ad,
07703393879. (I have no connection btw)

Yes, the showroom now has a new occupant and is is full of light commercials.

I'll miss glancing in the window every time I go past!

Me too. He always had nice interesting stuff in the showroom and on the forecourt. Won’t be the same travelling along there now frown

Agreed, it was always worth a look driving past. I used to call in for a look when he had the occasional Lotus for sale and when I was fancying an SLK. I'll miss the place.
