Found the tyre sizes, 235/40/18 Front and 245/40/18 Rear. Assuming I have Toyo Proxes again :-

Black Circles - £154.35/£166.78 each
£642.26 Inc fitting.
TVR Dealer - £141.00/£161.00
£604.00 Inc fitting.
My Tyres - £111.40/£125.40.
£473.60 Exc fitting.

The question is, how much will fitting and balancing cost? Something tells me it should be less than £130.00?

Thoughts and recommendations anyone?

did you mention tvrcc membership to blackcircles on the phone, just a query as they were cheaper than anyone else when i got mine

Yes I told them I was a TVRCC member, they said they could possibly offer 5% off. Even with that, I think the mytyres/local fitting option is going to be cheaper for me.

Jo, hope you get it back soon. Are you going to go to the open day at Christopher Neil's on 21st Feb?

Thanks Neil, I miss it like mad. It's okay(ish) not to have it during the week but the weekend is torture!

I won't be at the open day, Mike at Gorners would neber forgive me for that! Actually I'm away that day anyway.

What's the latest on your paintwork?

Edited because I'm stupid

On closer inspection it looks like it may be just through the laquer. Still waiting for my local chipsaway guy to get back off holiday.

Hope to see you out soon, it is always nice to see 2 powder puff blue Tuscans together. I will try to convince Mrs Chim to come out next time.

Have just phoned the tyre centre in Wakefield we use for our HGV's and plant for a price, they did a good deal for me on two SO3's for the chim. Their tyre buyer is not in till Monday, so will have an answer then. The prices you quoted are plus VAT right?

The S lives again.. Alarm had been dodgy, but also diagnosed an 8amp drain on the battery due to a faulty windown switch..

Hope others have as much success as I did..

So sorry to hear that, thats awful.

I'd say we need a run in the good weather but the S is still in pieces and the weather looks decidedly off for a few days yet.

Maybe a friday night to drown all our sorrows?
