A rare sight today the queens range rover vogue. It was a long wait in the strong winds and lashing rain but she and Prince Philip arrived at the rain stopped! I really like the ornament on the bonnet of the dog carrying the pheasant.
Aren't bonnet ornaments like that illegal these days?To be honest, I think it looks pretty tacky stuck half way up the bonnet.

Think the reason it is there it will not be spring loaded like the Rolls and Merc ones. So when a pedestrian bounces off it there will be less chance of a stabbing injury. Not spring loaded stick out of harms reach. Does look st though. To be honest, I think it looks pretty tacky stuck half way up the bonnet.

Would you want to be the poor sod of a cop explaining to their super the grounds of issuing queenie a ticket for it and I don't think "Under British Law, Regulation 53 Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 states that no mascot, emblem or other ornamental object shall be carried by a motor vehicle in any position where it is likely to strike any person with whom the vehicle may collide unless the mascot is not liable to cause injury to such a person by reason of any projection thereon except: •motor vehicles 1st used before 1st October 1937,
•vehicles which comply with EEC 74/483 or ECE Reg 26.01.
European Directive 74/483/EEC covers external projections of motor vehicles with added ornaments.
Annex 1, Point 6.1.1 of European Directive 74/483/EEC states that any added ornament which projects more than 10 mm from its support shall retract, become detached or bend over under a force of 10 daN.".......
....is really going to cut it.... as you were.

Thats an old photo, I know the owner of that very car, and I also know the current owner of the house, He's only moved in recently. The new home owner and the car owner were former business partners. I'm guessing that the car owner was visiting the former home owner, a well known lawyer in Aberdeen but WTF was he doing out in the snow in a car like that? Knowing the car owner I am not at all surprised. Suspicions are that he never took that car over 70mph, he bought it because it was the first 997 Turbo 'S' in Aberdeen, yes he was a flash bugger but a good guy too.martinj46 said:

I know the owner is on here, so thanks for entertaining me on my lunch break
I think I've seen that before. The one I saw in Dundee a couple of years ago was a Ford Falcon Ute.I know the owner is on here, so thanks for entertaining me on my lunch break
