Just a heads up to those interested, our event runs next weekend from Aberfeldy.

All details can be found on the club website, including maps for spectators, seeded entry list and final instructions.

Happy to answer any questions that people may have prior to next week.

It really is a great event and we would encourage people to visit as spectators, for what can be a cheap days entertainment.

Please stay safe and stick to the speed limits whilst driving responsibly if you do decide to visit.

Ogh and David Bogie is using a MK2 which should be interesting! All the good 4WD boys are out like Euan Thorburn, Chris Collie and Quintin Milne.

Here's to a safe, dry and warm event!

Bring this thread back to the top. McRae Stages this weekend. Forecast not great but stages should be. I'll be co-driving in car 14.

Not entirely sure, will double check tomorrow.

Really hoped there would be more interest in this!

I worked with Willie years ago and last time I saw him was at the Colin McRae stages outside Perth in 2002 - our eldest was runner-up in a schools "design-a-poster"competition so got a blast round the opening stage with one of the drivers. I was disappointed that he didn't get the run with Jimmy or Colin!

Have gone there more years than I care to remember but this is for hardened rally fans only.
Take last year for example, went to Griffin, got ripped off for parking in a bog, walked fully 30 minutes to start of stage to see maybe a dozen historics go through at probably 10 minute intervals, after standing in the pissing rain for a further hour finally word filtered through the stage was cancelled, not a single soul marshalls included seemed to know what was going on or if they did certainly were not letting on,
As a result missed our next planned stage and ended up in errochty until almost dark, but what the hell, thats what its all about although what would it take in todays age of mobile technology to impart just a little information to the fans that turn up in all weathers to support the memory of one of scotlands greatest.
