Crown & Anchor at Findhorn has upped its game and in my opinion now better than the Kimberley
The owner can be a bit odd, the fact that the locals refer to it as the Clown & W**ker may or may not be relevant

Agreed, go there quite a bit. Take the main road from oldmeldrum towards Haddo house, its bang on the junction.

I know where it is but I thought he meant they do a breakfast club too with cars?

The Ship Inn Invergordon

Food there is awesome, very reasonably priced and well worth the small detour off the A9 (which I do every time when passing now)

Not just kippers done the old way, but sea food /fish of all varieties. The founder, old Jaffie, was a fishbuyer in the early 60's, and present shop is owned by a third generation , with old world values.

All this talk about food and nice restaurants....

Here is a video about a road - probably the finest in Scotland. And no, it's not the NC500.

Lovely.
Shhhh, keep this quiet. Let the tourists head for the NC500 and keep my "local" roads traffic free. Whilst the scenery is better on the west coast, the roads definitely aren't. The road to Applecross is as big an anticlimax as the stelvio pass was.

Agree! The A93 was the busiest I've seen it in a long time yesterday. I'm hoping the average cameras on the A90 don't push more traffic, and the rozzers' focus, onto my little playground

I'd be up for making Nicola Sturgeon one of Scotland's hidden germs.

on the A939 Grantown-on-Spey to Forres road.
Well worth driving out to for a crackin' cup of coffee.

No connection, just a satisfied customer.

Park Shop is well worth a visit when driving through Drumoak to the west of Aberdeen.
Very nice coffee with various pies/sandwiches and stickies etc smile
Decent sized car park round the back with seating.
