Are there any decent hand car wash in Glasgow west end area. I used to take my car to a place in south street but im sure they put a lot of scratches on my car can't prove it of course.

The place near Morrisons at Annies Land Cross always seems to be busy. I have never used it mind you.

I live up in Bearsden and I'm really fussy about who I let clean my cars but I travel through the tunnel to Govan and go to the Car Spa, basically it's the same idea as the old IMO car washes where there car is pulled through but it's all washed by had, real thorough job, door sills, boot sill, dryer etc and it's reasonable. It's just off Shieldhall Rd, behind Greggs the bakers in that little retail park.

Get Steven Bryce out to do it he is the best in the business. I'm mega anal about my paintwork and I would never take it to any of them places.

If you fancy travelling a little further I've used Ultimate Car Wash on London Road, east end. Always did a decent job.

Make the trip across the river to Ultra Kleen, on Broomloan Road just beside Ibrox. They do an brilliant job, and for a £10 they'll wash and dry it, hoover the inside, clean all the glass, pull the mats out and properly clean them - everything. It's actually a bit ridiculous how much they do for the money. Been using them for years and will actually drive across the city if necessary to get there - always disappointed when I get it done somewhere else!

Used to use a hand car wash on London Road near to Celtic Park social club however took my jaguar there the other day and whatever they wiped the interior down with they got some on my key, horrible white marks all over it that won't come off. Wouldn't even entertain the return of £13 so definittely one to avoid.

Stay well clear of Guns n Hoses on Bothwell Rd in Hamilton.

They damaged my car after already warning them, they then refused to take responsibility and ended up in a square go with the owner who's an utter wee ****.

I've been there just a couple of times and wary of a revisit as seems the hoses are always on excessively high pressure.

The one I go to consistently is Foam & Away just off Duke St on the road down to Parkhead tesco. It's not fancy looking but they do a good job
