Can anyone confirm whether or not the Bealach na Bà closures have definitely definitely definitely been postponed to June, or is it still under consideration? Thanks.
I finally finished video from last weeks trip. It was epic! I’m going back next year but I won’t be doing east coast. It was so boring after doing West and North.

I'm looking forward to doing this in June taking a week to do it then a week on skye. Doing it anticlockwise all accommodation is booked so that's good. I see people saying the official route isn't the best has anyone knocked up a map with the best route on it?

Just avoid the east coast and use a map to discover the west and north... that's where all the best roads and scenery is.Trustmeimadoctor said:

East is boring. If you are into driving, fun starts after Thurso if you are planning to do it anti clockwise. Mad_Mac said:

Like driving but it's also about history and visiting things not just blatting around avoiding potholes
If you check out the interactive map, it'll show you all the eateries, cultural bits and bobs etc. on the 500 route.http://www.northcoast500.com/interactive-map.aspx
Best place to eat on the west coast (IMHO) is the Kylesku Hotel. Best beaches near Durness and Lochinver, best views Torridon ... but I'm biased

has anyone invented a drone module that tracks your car... so when you're traversing all this wonderful scenery it's filming it all from the sky?
Yep... DJI. My P4 pro does that. (As do others)Check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF5wsAb_s5o
