Well £22m's got to help the local economy...

Though I seriously wish they would find another stock photo as that one must be almost worn out it's been used so many times... Maybe Steve could help them out, for a price biggrin

And the stretch of road in the pic isn't even part of the route!

NC500 has gone to sleep again.

Below: Rush hour. (I had to wait a while for a car).

Just back from a week up there, amazing views and roads, thank you everyone there!

Red Devil, you are not to look here until after you have posted your maps links! - Lochinver Pie Shop is ace! - this is the road back from the Stoer lighthouse

I must say that even now, the second week of November, the roads seem busier than pre NC days. Some ice on the roads starting already, fine if you take it gentle, and the gritters were just getting started.

Amazing scenery, thank you west coast!

You have been to the lighthouse and that's the road junction at Achnacarnin.

Lovely pic smile

Not a view you often see Kishorn from - apart from frequent trips to the boatyard, my other memory of that road is having to pull over to let a school bus driver past who was driving at a speed I was not entirely comfortable with in a sportscar!

Thinking of a short trip here on New Year's Eve - how are the roads at the moment and does the weather forecast favour PistonHeadery?
