Anyone know of any sign maker firms (supply & fit) they would recommend?
It's for a small retail unit, set within a parade of shops, straightforward shop front signage with a lit box, nothing fancy.

I have a place in Glasgow and have struggled to get local firms even to quote me a price. Managed to get a couple of quotes in but the latest firm I've been speaking to seems incapable of doing it, almost to the point of deliberately not doing it.

Any of you guys work in the trade or know someone who does? And can work a calculator? And know how to operate a phone?
I'll even supply the dimensions!

As an aside, if anyone here has a bit of spare money to invest in a sideline business? Sign Making!
Way too much business to cope with. Always too busy. ALWAYS too busy. Can't help you, mate. Too busy.

There is no doubt that signmaking is a lucrative business!

Guy I have used last couple of times is Colin Tate, of Calder & Tate Signs. They have a workshop based up in Castlemilk.

Dont be put off by all the large Corporate signage on their website - they do one man shops as well!

James Bros in Duke St Glasgow done the wifes shop, top quality work turned up when they said and even cleaned up after themselves.

You probably have, but have you tried BEP signs, swordfish signs or the sign factory?
