Recommend a solicitor central Brum or Sutton Coldfield

Hi all,

My own small business has been badly slated by another business on a Facebook Business Page and on a specific car Facebook group.

Imo it is too bad to ignore, is totally untrue, (it is libel imo), plus the individuals involved are traceable (easily so imo).

I strongly want to take professional advice on this. My business is based in central Birmingham and I live in Sutton Coldfield.

Does anyone know or can anyone recommend a legal practitioner whom I can consult on this please, preferably convenient for the above locations? I wouldn't know where to begin to select the best person/people to consult.

My best mate works at DLA in the centre of Birmingham, he's in corporate law, so maybe not the best person, but they are a big firm, so would be able to help I'm sure.

Thanks for that. Only problem is that I am a very small business and so is the other business, so we're not talking big boys here, but I would just like to sit down with someone for some professional advice and am happy to pay to do so - problem is with finding the right person.

Although I can't help on your request for a recommendation, if the questionable post by a 3rd party has been put on a portal such as Google, I'd approach them in the first instance & see if they can block the quote given what you say. A friend had a similar situation with a competitor a number of years ago & he just asked his appreciative customers to give their honest opinions - people will hopefully see through Internet trolling with the weight of positive comments. Good luck in sorting it out.

Thanks for that, that's something to consider. One of the two comments was made on a Facebook group, I've had a look to see who actually runs it and can't find any information.

Is it possible to find this information, does anyone know?
