A6 v Plod Letchworth?
Discussion
Did anyone see a dark A6 being pursued by the Police in Letchworth just after 11am today? I saw the pair bowling along the A1 north and thought the A6 was just being dopey in the outside lane and not noticed all the noise and flashing lights until it lurched across 3 lanes and off at J9 with the BMW Plod right behind it...
Didn't see that one but as I got on the A10 flyover at the A602 junction recently; an A4 shot by being pursued by the police. The Audi came up the slip road at other end of the flyover losing Mr Plod in the process. He then went through the lights and back down onto the A10 heading towards London.
Maybe it's the little brother of the A6 driver.
Audi do seem to be doing a fine job of attracting muppets to buy their cars in recent years.
I wonder if they've developed some kind of automotive pheromone spray to get them in the showrooms? = + =

Seen several Audis (mainly estates) being pursued by traffic cars, I was told that the Audis are under cover cars an it's routine chase exercises being performed.
Could well be some truth in that, as I saw a blue A4 being chased by a marked car a few months back. Came up the A1 and off at the Hitchin/Stevenage junction. At the time I thought it seemed an odd car to be stolen, not being an S/RS model. There are quite a lot of runs taking place along the A414 too - mainly two or three marked cars together or a plain BMW and two marked together.
Given me a shudder or two when they appeared suddenly in the rearview mirror without warning on an otherwise empty stretch of road.
Then of course I realised it didn't matter - it's a good job I never let the VXR8 exceed 70mph along there eh!
