Thought I'd post here, as I haven't driven into Glasgow for years..

Will heading to the SEC for an event in April and need to choose a hotel with a secure/safe car park, and current thoughts are either Crowne Plaza, Village or Hilton. Are these all relatively safe (only the Hilton is underground), or are there any other options around the West End, Kelvingrove, or City Centre?

Ideally looking for somewhere with off street parking, and with ramps that are friendly to low-slung cars - so less chance of grounding out the car on the way in/out.

The hotel right on the river (was the Hilton Garden I think but now changed) has a small carpark at street level. I think it has a barrier entry system .

Still is the Hilton Garden Inn.

Thanks for the replies.

After reading the reviews of the Hilton on Tripadvisor, where the car park is best described as tight, have opted for the Crowne Plaza right next to the Armadillo.

Both are fine but neither what I would term secure ie fenced. I have used both over the years with no issues.

Crowne Plaza does have speed bumps...depends how low your car is

Thanks, didn't even notice them first time I looked at Streetview, but not as bad as where I live just now - car is a 997 Turbo S, so its mainly grounding the nose/underside on a ramp or high kerb that's the problem.

Although I didn't have my own car in the end (had a loan Porsche thanks to my neighbour), the Crowne Plaza was absolutely fine - perfect for a gig at the SEC, with just a short wander back to the hotel bar after the gig.

Thanks for the replies/suggestions.
