Hello

As per the above, keen to get one installed in the car, hardwired, neat etc.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

The answer is always Skidz in Falkirk. I honestly don’t know if they do dash cams but they will start if you ask. They have a mobile fitting service too.

I have a few different models installed on our cars:
Qvia and BlackVue 2 channel models from incarcamerasystems

They’re easy to fit yourself, albeit I usually get a professional auto electrician to wire up an auxiliary battery with voltage cutoff so that I can run them when parked.

When looking at accessories such as aux batteries, Lukas and Qvia seem to be compatible / the same company.

Edited to add:
If you are happy to go for something more mainstream, Halfords will supply and fit various Nextbase and Mio products.

Would you mind to share the details of an auto electrician to hardwire a dash camera to be running 24h? Which one did you use?

Did they do all the fitting too? Was trim removed to hide the wires. I’m now thinking of one.
