Just wondering if anyone has used this for medical appointments (video consultation)? - this one is for Grampian, but seems a set up used elsewhere.

I have a family member trying to use the test function in advance of the actual appointment and it keeps getting stuck at step 3 where it claims another programme on the computer is hogging the camera and microphone. I have checked and can't see anything obvious.

Tried the test on my own PC and get stuck at same place - very frustrating, and googling for problems with it has not identified any solutions yet.

?try from a tablet or phone. Failing that ask consultant secretary if the appointment can default to phone audio if Near Me doesn’t work. In exceptional cases MS Teams might be possible but would need to download the software and depends on that part of the NHS having the time to set up the appointment especially by that route. Good luck!

Gone for the tablet option, failing which will just phone. Still can't get my head around why I can't get it to work on my pc, plus why no one else seems to have the same problem if it is in common use.

Are they using Teams or a remote desktop connection?

I set up Near Me in Lothian so I've come across essentially every permutation of it not working...

Just a simple laptop and t'inernet.

I had a look at their set up on TeamViewer and nothing obvious. Same problem on my desktop. Both windows 10.
