I was driving along here today doing 75-80 (speeding is speeding, I understand) and the camera flashed twice.
There was nothing displayed on the matrix gantry in terms of speed so just assumed they’re off and I was ok to do a bit more.

I assume I’ll receive a letter now? shoot

I assume if theres no marked speed then its 70mph for the camera.
You usually get 10% leeway.
If you dont get anything in the next 14 days you should be ok.

I thought so!
It definitely flashed though and no other cars around me.

Where about?

I know the link below isn't desperately recent, but my understanding was that these cameras aren't fully operational as yet.

You might be lucky.

Just north of the Queensferry Crossing..towards Fife etc.

I didn’t notice any signs stating they were being tested to be fair so I’d assume they’re active.

I'm pretty certain they're not properly in use. I've been flashed there and nothing came of it.

I triggered it when there was a reduced limit on the matrix, and I certainly pay a bit more attention now just in case, but I'd like to think you'll be fine.

I’ve also been flashed there, heading south, doing low 80s, didn’t get anything.

Here’s hoping! Thanks!

Similar experience, I take it easy through there now just in case but never did hear anything of it.

I went through at 70(ish) when it was a 50. I checked when I got home and I think I read they were in the last week of testing, I recall thinking I dodged a bullet. This was aaaages ago so I think they might sometimes be operational now (I’ll not be speeding through them again, anyway!)

I did the same northbound at the last camera before the bridge - sign said 40, I slowed down to 40 then must've speeded up too soon or too quickly because it flashed me. A bit of a sweaty wait to see but read it was still under test and never heard anything.

Sorry to drag up an old post but does anyone have any more recent information on these cameras? I got flashed by one a half mile before the Queensferry crossing heading to Fife from Glasgow early the other morning doing about 80 (well, 130km ish indicated on my import Subaru’s Speedo) to be totally honest I never even seen it.

I’m assume these are now active and should be expecting the NIP any day now?

Don't worry - they're not active. They'll flash if you exceed the limit but you won't get a NIP.

My wife's been flashed by them at least three times (one day she'll actually start checking the limit there) and got nothing.

Marvellous frown

To be fair, it is not easy to do much more than 70 on that stretch IME due to the gradient changes slowing people up and down, plus the jockeying around for exits etc

I am rarely on it when the limits are reduced from 70 though, so perhaps it's wacky races then?
