That's not B location. One of the other locations in Al Shaheen but not B location. Could be part of B centre but that is made up of B,C,E,H and I locations.

Was definitely the Rumaillah we landed on...
That's Maersk's A-location, the platform you see is the accommodation module. They regularly use jack-ups for accommodation alongside the main platform.

Interestingly enough, the main accommodation module had a fire about 3 years ago. A diesel day tank had overflowed and the diesel ignited, and the resultant fire was directly below the exit to the accommodation (just under the bridge).

Safe to say that got the fire teams attention when they opened the door!

Neighbours!
I was on the West Chirag a couple of weeks back and just came off the Chirag on Saturday.
Heard it's a decent bit of food on the DWG
Howdy dowdy! I'm on the seismic survey ship around Shah Deniz at the moment and heading out to the Azeri / Chirag area in January, give us a wave as we do our close passes.

There will be pubs open! Get yourself up to the London Bar just off Bul Bul, maybe 4 blocks up from Sahil metro station or to the Tequila Bar just behind McDonalds in Fountain Square. Or Shakespeare's - bound to be a live band on and you can get yourself a decent curry upstairs before the bells. I'm hoping NOT to be able to see the lights of Baku on New Year's Eve as it just makes things worse - I'd rather pretend I was in the absolute middle of nowhere.

Aye, not a bad place to be, certainly better than Luanda.

Its five years since I was there but spent four years working there and would go back in a heartbeat.
