Just a general mechanic, but i have seen some exotica in his garage getting some work done. He's a typical aberdonian (ie rude with no sense of humour biggrin) but he knows what he's doing with just about anything and doesn't charge a fortune
Another shout for RSL from me, just used them recently for the Corvette and the quality of work was superb!!

top bloke especially for any ford [eg xflow ,bda ] lotus old school engines, carb set up and engine rebuild
only problem is that hes very very slow as he cant say no and takes on too many jobs at as given time
as long as you really nail him down wrt time frame ,then hes fine

Same as above, but with BMW. They looked after my M3 for a couple of years. The guys are spot on, great prices, but most importantly honest!

One of the best (good mechanics, also very clean and tidy) garage I have ever been to with a great customer service. I have been using Car Craft Scotland for the last 5 years and they are excellent. Never needed to take my car to any other garage.

I'd second Gary. BM Motors would be my first choice. Davy's a bit of a Guru when it comes to BMW's well respected on the BMW scene. I hold Weaver's in high regards also. Have used them a few times over the years.

Ali's career spanned 11 years with Murray Motor Company in Edinburgh, as their chief Lotus Mechanic.

Big thumbs up for Performance Tyres in Anniesland. Went direct to them and they beat the prices of black circles and mytyres for the tyres I wanted, speedy service (15 mins for 2 tyres), and most importantly there doesn't appear to be a mark on my newly refurbished alloys!

Any decent wheel alignment specialists in the Glasgow / Dumbarton / Paisley area? Fancy trick suspension on the Alfa means you need to know how to adjust all 4 wheels. NS front is badly scrubbed and needs replacing, although surprisingly the other front wheel is wearing evenly.

sounds more like suspension or chassis is bent on that side than the tracking is out, older cars where you can adjust kpi would show one wheel scrubbing but with modern suspension and steering it should do both if there is a tracking fault

I was just wanting the worst of a dent taken out for now (can get it fixed properly once I have more money in..!) and the guy did it for free. And you wouldn't even know there had been a dent there now, so I'm happy as larry! Really nice guy, good to chat to, and if you're lucky like I was, you'll see his Dad's Aston DB6 Vantage... biggrin

I'm in Falkirk and had my wheels Powdercoated at Powdertec in Glasgow. They did a first class job and will do various colours. Just below the kingston bridge in the Ind Est next to Harry Ramsdens. They also do detailing and were wrking on some exotica when I collected my wheels. About £55 a wheel if I can remember correctly,
