2013: PH Scotland Run Planning

Hi Folks
Hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread, but a few of us PH'ers from Southeast Englandshire are planning to grace your shores this coming August to take advantage of your fine roads, hospitality, whisky and women. (Okay, maybe not the women.)
I've been lucky enough to have done a couple of trips up in recent years (including a moist but memorable Monaro 5.7 Borders Run in 2009) so have a fairly good idea of where we want to go.
The general plan is to spend 4-5 days in Scotland and to approximately do a lap of the country going clockwise via the Trossachs, Mallaig, Skye, Durness, Thurso, Inverness, Braemar, Edinburgh, Moffat.
I'm pretty familiar with the beaten track, but any off-beat suggestions would be well received, as would Tomtom ITN files if you have them (for example from any of your recent Scotland runs?)
We're all veterans of PH runs in our local area down south, and great driving roads are what this trip is all about. We would of course also welcome Scottish drivers to join us for any part of our tour, although please note we expect to be on the road during the week.
To save further clutter on this thread, your feedback via PM would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I would rec. the road from Aberfoyle through to safari park, like most places it is suffering from pot holes but it's quite a good wee run. I used to live in Aberfoyle so I am fairly familiar with a few of the roads, bearing in mind there was a fatality on that road every year near enough when I lived there so don't take it too lightly!
As prompted by Barry, and given that I want to try out my new suspension set up properly, I am going to give this 'run planning' a go. After all how hard can it be?!
Anyway, to avoid F1 GP's, and to squeeze it in before I go on hols., and so as not to clash with the HH, I am going to suggest Sunday 17th June.
As far as the route is concerned, apart from the rain, I really enjoyed the run Kenny organised last year around Stirlingshire/Perthshire so I was going to base it on this. Unfortunately I seem to have mislaid my copy of the route plan he did so if anyone has it can they send it to me. I may tweak it here and there.
