[quote=Alexdaredevilz]I think Roysum's could of made over 255 if the fuelling was sorted

Could have, would have, may have, has the potential to, ect ect.

Not valid Alex.

But I think it's time to let the Chimps have a crack at this one.

Over to the cage it is wink

Late entry Wedgies are most welcome, so it's not over till the fat Chimp sings.

You have it all to play for.

After opening this up to Chimps & Grifters, Jonny weggie is still currently top of the global competition.

He then drops in with the graph just to drive it home & casually points out his number was at 5250rpm.

Very nice touch JW.

There are some Chimps that have come close, but currently it's no banana over in the cage.

Come on Wedgies show your man some support, JW is retaining the pride of Wedgedom for you all.

My old 350i with a 4ltr lump made 273Bhp @6000Rpm, 240ft/lb @4000rpm

normally aspirated with a lot of head work high compression, Emerald ECU, dizzyless sparks, high lift cam, short 45mm trumpets, larger throttle, 5 bar fuel pressure etc etc

I then sold it to Kelwedge who rebuilt it as 4.6 so i'd imagine its a bit more tractable now

"My old 1275GT Mini made 320hp when I replaced the SU carbs with a twin choke Webber"

Myths and stories are no good Wedgies nono

The mythical 270hp 4.0 litre Rover V8 still eludes us (in all TVR camps).

A 255hp Wedge remains the best confirmed result so far.

However I know of a certain Chimp that's about to surprise us all.

Who can it be scratchchin

Well Kelvin quotes the 4.6 at around 264bhp at present. 0.6 L increase in capacity but less power. Don't know the torque figures mind......interesting.

Loving the response (or lack of) on the medallion (griff) and hairdresser (chimp) forums!

I guess they know at heart that the Dark Side is truly to be feared... wink
