My only claim to fame in that neck of the woods was to become King for the day - yes I sat in the throne in the Ship Inn and bought drinks for all....

We won the jackpot on the quiz on the one occasion we went into the wheatsheaf by guessing Slade had 6 #1's. The jackpot had rolled over for over a year. Needless to say were wernt very popular in there after that. laughlaughlaugh

Bought my 1984 series 1 350i (second hand)on 17th Dec 1987 from Dave Haughin. Had the reg B820 MLL being originally supplied new by Arkley Barnet. I still own it today !
I remember taking it back for some minor bits on the few months warranty he offered, and the mechanic had to rob bits off other cars in the showroom, to get the car finished while I waited !
Dave was a great bloke and is sadly missed.

Very excited to see this pic - Is this the car that was in Queensland for a long time and then came back to the UK. If so I remember seeing the Sprintex on the bench at Central TVR and doing a double take. The chassis was like new!

Are you going to bring it to wedgefest this year?
