Read a few posts on here from guys with modded 400s and they sound awesome..
I'm looking to do something with mine and was wondering what my options were. I've had the ECU replaced and tuned by Tower View but that's as far as it goes.

I can think of a few .. here's what I have had done to mine by Peninsula Non Standard, Bigger Bore Exhaust K & N Air Filter New Plugs, and plug leads Vairable rate fuel pressure regulator Vernier Pullies Different CAM ( I have a US Spec CAM, not a reprofiled 218. This gives nutter power delivery and torque low down, and an almost linier power delivery upto 6500rpm. ) In addition, my 400 has the AP Racing calipers fitted to the front as standard on almost all 400/450's so I run standard brakes, with GreenStuff Pads. (Going for bigger rotors soon ( 285mm ) but keeping origional calipers) with stainless braided Brake hoses too throughout the car. In addition, I replaced all fuel hoses with new larger bore stainless braided ones, including the interconnects between the tanks, and have uprated the fuel pump to increase fuel pressure and flow. Note all of the above mods increase power, but they do increase the cars ability to handle the power, and transmit it to the blackstuff. ) Im in Hampshire but work out of the City. if you wanted to see the car, then we could meetup. jvaughan Are peninsula any good ? I like the look of some of the mods on the website and fancy paying them a visit, I am looking for some interesting mods for my 4.0HC Chim. So far just new magnecor leads and plugs, and a rolling tune. any other suggestions to start with ??

Did you have a "Mark Adams" setup? Peter Humphries (and a green V8S) (Once upon a time it had the same engine as a 4.0 Chimaera)

I will not use anyone else. I spent 3 years paying silly money for servicing etc, and as everyone who looks around enough will tell you, eventually you find someone who is willing to do the required work and not charge silly money. Peninsula in my experience do it for me.

One wonders why Gamekeeper bother's... nothing sensible to contribute so he just wastes time typing inane remarks. Really good fun eh!

Jason, Hope the beasties doing ok after the trip to Peninsula ?? The photoshoot was good, although I sheared a manifold downpipe (typical!) getting there. Drop us a line mate, Patrick.
