Hi Zig. You mentioned there are carpet sets available..don't suppose you could post up some links for me please. thumbup I assumed that carpets would no longer be available and would have to have some made by a trimmer and therefore would be expensive. Many Thanks bow

Hi Mate..I could only find these for now and they are a bit more pricey than previous ones ive seen..Just been trying to find the thread on here from a little while back...Someone fitted a carpet set but i cant remember who...You could always call Gemini seat covers in penge..He is the trimmer i will be using as he quoted me 500 sobs for the whole interior so carpet wouldnt be that much...ziga

Cheers Zig. £400 all in is a little too much for now as work has been very slow since crimbo. Ill have to mull it over as I'm not sure if I could do a good enough job DIYing it as my sewing skills are non existent. You are a font of wedgie knowledge as always. Hope to see you soon at the park I'm getting the wedge sorted for the coming spring if it ever arrives! MOT tomorrow , fingers crossed.....

Good luck with the MOT..It's worth ringing Gemini as i said they quoted me 500 for the whole interior bar the seats..Which was wilton red carpet throughout..Black overmats with red piping..Black leather dash, Centre console with red stitching..Leather door caps..Diamond stitched Door cards..Arm rests in black leather with red stitching and gearstick and handbrake gaiters...So carpet alone i think was around 200...They will ask you to remove the seats though...Ziga

Hi peeps...Well by the looks of it the supercharger might just fit..It will need the pipe work re-made and the bracket will need re-fabricating...I will fit the bracket's in and bolt on the supercharger to clarify but from the onset it looks doable....Just waiting for the stainless steel manifolds from ACT and the unleaded heads can be fitted..Ooo this is exciting...Cheers...Ziga

Hi Peeps..Right today i fitted the brackets and the supercharger in..The main problem is the intake housing, I have found a local firm that can scan in any part and reproduce it in alloy or steel..While i was out there a guy pulled up in a Talk talk van and was saying that he used to work for TVR in the early days..He used to do 4 days a week at the factory and a day at engineering college..His name was Rob Benson..He ask how reliable mine was and said that 10 cars would go out and one would always come back with bits missing or hanging off it..I knew then he was genuine...hehe

Cheers Adam...Fingers crossed mate..I have been designing an optional intake housing that can be bolted to the existing one..It means that i only have 70mm clearance until it hits the bonnet, This gives me a 60mm OD inlet with a 10mm flange...(Oooh missus)..The initial inlet inner bore is a majority of 60mm so would like to adhere to it..5-8mm could be skimmed from the original inlet's face..Once this part is made i can get on and measure what fittings and associated alloy tubing will be needed to re-route the feed to the plenum..Are there any rules when it comes to distances between blower to plenum?..I should imagine the pressure even's that out..Im having it fitted by someone who is certified to fit turbo's and the like...Im also going for the amethyst ignition system that was pointed out to me by my friendly chimp mate..Who we havent heard from since his V8 LPG conversion...Perhaps he is still trying to run it out...scratchchin..Supercharger + LPG.... driving....nuts
I will also be blinging up the blower with some high temp graphite paint and red outline..Cheers...Ziga

Looking great Zig, fantastic progress!

I've done over 1000 miles in my LPG Chimp now including a run to Belgium Land, and it's going great.

She gives 260hp on petrol & 261hp on LPG, with the cost equivalent of 38mpg.

keep up the good work on the blower project, I can't wait to see it all done.

Don't forget The Ace tomorrow mate.

Dave.

PS: Smart move on selecting the Aldon Amethyst clap

Nice one dave..Sounds like you are well pleased with the result...cool...Im hoping to make the cafe tomorrow night but im still suffering from being hunched over under the bonnet for hours yesterday..Which reminds me..I must return that hunchback costume to the fancy dress shop..Their late fee's are extorsionate..eek..So hopefully if i can straighten myself out then i will be there..Oh..i nearly forgot..I will have to lug the seats along for Gav...So i better keep the hunchback costume for another day...hehe...Cheers...Ziga

It turned out that I bought an unleaded head and a leaded head, A ring caught a cylinder at warp speed so another engine was plopped in and she was sold...Shame really, should of just spent another £600 on heads...I would still have her now...frown
