Help - Oil Filter

Help needed! On my 400SE I have a remote oil filter ( all wedges - I think!). The pipe that comes direct from the oil filter ( not away to the oil cooler), does it connect to the top or bottom of the timing covers oil pump housing?? Also, the pipe that comes direct from the oil cooler - does it attach to the top or bottom connector on housing?? Unfortunately, I forgot to mark them during oil pipe renewal. Potentially it could be quite expensive if I got them the wrong way around! Thanks
