Also owned (although I would rather forget !) a 390SE 1985 model with engine number (if I recall correctly) ARE TVR 018.

It wasn't me it was Dennis Priddle and Dave Haughin wot did it back in the day... probably 1990.The compression is lowered a little with thicker head gaskets.
Other than that the block is stock, but there are quite a few ancillaries and pipes that are different.
