I think this was / is Duncan Simey's car. I remember this on the wedge pages having a body off restoration.
The car was at the NEC a long time ago just after the resto was complete, I had a chat with Duncan about it then.
That's why I recognise the reg doh. The rebuild diary https://www.theseacpages.co.uk/media/F719DCW/The car was at the NEC a long time ago just after the resto was complete, I had a chat with Duncan about it then.
This is my old car from new it was my 3rd new TVR through Dave Haughin RIP in Barrow. I live near the factory the car was one of the 1st non Kevlar 450s as the weaved cars didn't look great the finish was a bit ripply so they decided to stop producing them. It's a shame they never perfected it as I once lifted a Kevlar body shell with Mike Penny it was so much lighter than a fibreglass one!
Mine was the 1st one to have the 390 dash fitted as I much preferred it and after that they all did. It didn't go on the production line the car was in a corner and 2 guys did all the work on it. I wanted my them days large mobile phone fitted in the centre tunnel when they glassed it out they found it caught against a chassis strut so they moved it. I had the 10 second delay interior lights fitted a bigger stereo system etc it really was a one off build at the time. After a few months of ownership I noticed the car body was awful it turned out it had not been left out long enough to "cure" so they had to rub it all down and repaint it! It was def a fair bit quicker than my 390 I got 165 on the clock once with the roof off.
I met Duncan a few years after I sold the car at the back home event at the De Vere hotel in Blackpool he took me out in it and I took him out in my then new Tuscan. Many happy memories of that car the day I took possession at the factory a magazine took it out and pictured it at the sea on the front in Knott End and did a middle spread feature on the car I still have a pic of the write up somewhere. I followed Duncans chassis restoration on here a few years ago but I don't know who owns it now.

Sadly, I'm going to have to part with F719 DCW.
Anybody got any references to SEAC sales in the last few years, that would be very helpful as I'm struggling to work out how much to ask.
F719 DCW was rebuilt under my care and is mechanically sound.
I never got around to the cosmetics. Some think that's a good thing.
Speedo is intermittent and one of the rims has a slow puncture,
It's been sitting in a barn before and after the trip to TVRSSW where the image was taken that started this thread. It needs a polish.
The exhaust is easy to change back. I rerouted it because it flattened badly under the diff and was affecting gas flow. Was good for impressive spark showers at night.
The roll-bar is now part of the chassis. Not so easy to put back to original.
The car was MoT'd after this thread was started and is currently SORN.
The intention was to have a good year of use and then think about what I wanted to do.
However, I now have a daughter and it's pretty clear the SEAC doesn't fit my needs.
Thanks in advance - Duncan

Hi Duncan, not sure why others haven't responded to this. There have been a few SEAC's sold over the last 18 months. Waynes electric blue one was up for sale at £36k at Amore Autos for a while. I've been told that it eventually sold for high 20's, but someone in the "know" may want to confirm this. It had a heavily modified 4.6l V8. Andy "Tank" also sold both of his SEAC's and they were in extremely good condition. I think it was circa £30k for them but Andy may confirm. There has been a grey one for sale at £30k up near Lancaster for quite some time. The advert has now been pulled but not a clue if that's because it's now sold or the seller has decided to stick with it. The "Wild Rover" show car sold eventually but I think it only went for £24k. I think the colour wasn't to everyones taste so that may well have pushed the price down.
Do you intend to get the car MOT'd before sale? Are there any recent photographs of the interior and paintwork? Cheers.

Really Peter? Interesting.
FBook is seeing the regular 'traffic' nowadays.
As to value, I think they are £24k and up assuming all is good. I'm not sure AT's ones were worth the premium.
That said, they are unique, limited run, high performance and visually stand out. What's not to like?
