Dave, there are a lot of part numbers in the FAQ's but I see the V6 boys haven't put in a fan belt.

Over to Zig, or similar peep.

....mmm...IIRC it all depends on what set up you have...Im sure mine was a 10mm wide belt by various lengths depending on the set up...

I thought it was more like a 10 x 1200?

might be worth asking on the S Series Forum, early S cars ran the 2.8 scratchchin

Hi,thanks for replies.i had a 10x 1000 which was slipping and about 2mm off touching a brake pipe on the inner wing-so ran out of adjustment. So I've tried a 13x 950 -I went for a wider belt thinking it would sit better in the v of the alternator but I think it's too wide. The 10 MM seemed a little low in the v.i also went too short so 980mm would hopefully be ok.Where should the belt sit in the v ? Flush with top?.

It's not critical, slightly proud to just under is all good. Usually 10mm will be slightly under.

Important thing is that the belt runs on the sides of the "V" in the pulley's not the bottom.

Hi folks, fitted this 10 x 988 which gives me good adjustment and clearance between alt and brake pipe on inner wing.
