LOL........Guys I spent 6 months trying to source these guys-ended up taking a risk and buying from a classic car parts dealer in Malta-not an easy find at all these days. But I will be 3rd in line if someone has a stash out there.........

I believe Cibie is a French manufacturer and hence why usually found in France. These are 175’s which are the larger fog/spot lights. The ones on the TVR are 35 sometimes referred to as airport 35. They can be in black, white or silver and if I’m not mistaken some clear plastic ones were manufactured too. They are getting harder to find now. Just a few years ago you could buy a new pair old stock for around £10 as I bought for my previous wedges. The ones I have on my Wedge at the moment are black acquired from Keith a while back. Every Wedge I have owned I always place a set of covers on to protect the light, and I think, improves the looks though not to everyone’s taste.

Last 2 covers I had were on my 72 Ford Capri. The car went in for a re-spray and blacking-out of the trunk center (between the tail lights) c.1977 and the covers got binned by accident.

What did the guy say about the size of the ones in the ad? The only place you’ll find them fairly quickly is on a French auction site but ££££££££. Jaguars also used them in the 70’s ans 80’s and I keep searching from time to time but still no luck.

I can't see the point of them personally, turns a quick flash to let someone out into:

1. Stop Car
2. Get out
3. Remove covers
4. Get in
5. Flash
6,. Get out
7. Replace covers
8. Get in
9. Drive off

I have one in my garage that I use to keep old wedge nuts and bolts in...

Agree. I use the driving lamps as my flash facility.

It’s a matter of personal choice. I think it finishes the car off. Without them the Wedge looks a bit naked to me. Perhaps it’s before your time and maybe I’m just used to seeing these cars with them on, being an old timer. Unlike Adam I’m not a flasher, I give all my signals using my hands and sometimes my fingers. biggrin
