The rear section behind seats is fooked.

Never had carpet work before on any car.....so is it something any auto interior shop can do, or is it pre manufactured patterns sold/installed by experts ?

Don't fancy the trip to Blackpool either.

Who used who and approx how much.

Buy some new...ranging from £20 - £70 per metre x metre..Some spray glue..£15....Use the old as templates allowing a few extra mm around the edge..possibly some foam but generally you either dont have any or it will be re-useable...

Always lay the carpet in unglued and glue from the middle......using an old blanket as a guard against stray glue sprays...

The angled flap is removable which is self explanatory once out...;)

Seats only need to come out if you are replacing the piece under them?....If its just the piece behind the seats..ie parcel shelf and angled piece behind seats then no...


I did mine with some cheapish carpet that Dominic gave me...I think it was from Car builder solutions?


I then made myself an over mat..

Hi,

I suppose this sort of hijacking a thread, but I've just replaced the soundproofing on my Tasmin after it got water logged. Anyway I've got quite a bit of 'stuff' left over - 100 x 108 cm 3 mill sticky backed soundproofing, and 138 x 168 10 mill carpet underlay which is what was under the parcel shelf (3 layers!) and in the footwells.
Free - ish to good home i.e. a modest addition to the wine rack wouldn't go amiss!
