Rear brake callipers reseal kit -which one?
Discussion
Hi,trying to get a reseal kit from bigg red for Tasmin mk1fhc 1981.Theyve come back with 2 kits -one has metal retaining ring that secures dust cover the other has a metal retaining ring.Anyone know which kit from there description?from the parts list for a later car it's from a Jag XJS pt no TCA 005/006 is this the same for all? Thanks dave
Think is jaguar xj6/xjs stuff at the back and should help to find the right kit.
As mentioned before:
Had severe lockup and binding brakes and as the calipers were not expensive, also went for refurbished ones.
Think replacement calipers is about double the price of a kit.
But your choice of course if you want to refurbish them yourself.

There are two caliper types - one has the seal with its lip fitting in a groove in the caliper, held in by the piston, the other type has the seal fitting outside, with the wire ring to retain it.
The kit I got was for both types.
How do I know this ? My wedge had one of each type of caliper......
