Let me know if you get stuck, I have a number of ECU's but not had time to check them over.

The idea would be to sell them when they are working weil. Also yes - which end of Essex, i'm up near Saffron Walden but it's a big county.

Hi thanks for the colour name and picture, it's always hard to tell from a picture, but yours has that blue to mauve look similar to mine. I purchased a couple of supposed different colour touch up paints Blue Mica and Midnight Blue but both appear to be the same colour and too dark.
Upon reflection perhaps Adam may be your best bet as he said he has more than one. Mine although sold to me as good and working I have never plugged it in, so is un-tested as I had the intention of swapping out the resistors to turn it into a TVR version.

I’d be interested to know the details of the resistor changes and what it did if you’d be happy to share...

Bit of a hijack of this thread sorry. As yet I have done not a lot other than gather the bits to carry out the mod. As the car is finally running OKish I thought that touching it would be the kiss of death after the last year of replacing all sorts of bits and bobs. I am also due an MOT on the 22nd May.

However, all that said I have purchased a Land Rover 3.5 V8 Lucas 4CU ECU 84477D off of fleabay, and followed the thread linked below for all the detail that was pertinent, I also got some further information from other places, but at the time stupidly did not note them.
I am not sure as I haven't removed the panel to look at my ECU but the 350i SERIAL # I think should be 83986. I also found that the resistor values are not standard in all cases, so will have to be made up of 2 in series as that is what I have lying around and scrounged from other places.

My understanding is that the 350i's run a bog standard Rover ECU that is not modified. Many of the 390SE's and other larger engined Wedges used the larger jaguar AFM and also some upgraded injectors to the larger units and as such resistors do need changing to allow for the different fuelling options for these components.

I upgraded my 390SE with the larger AFM and Mark Adams (ECU guru) did change out the resistors to suit. In combination with the larger AFM and a rolling road session this increased power from 219bhp to 247bhp, so quite a hike.

Out of interest my 450 SEAC is currently running a bog standard Rover (not TVR) ECU yet is still managing to produce approx 280bhp. I have acquired a fully adjustable ECU off a 350bhp ex Vitesse racer. Mark is hopeful that with this modified ECU and a rolling road session power will increase to between 300 to 310 bhp.

Mmm thanks Interesting. Always good to have personal experiences shared. I just purchased it as it was cheap and becoming harder to find for not silly money. I will pick it up at some point and have another look.
I also came across this, not sure how true these statements are. Can't even remember the source now.

SERIAL # 83986 The ECU version used by the Morgan Flapper Plus 8s and other sports and competition cars. A Flat fueling profile that is good across the entire rev range.
SERIAL # 84477 Decent low and mid-range but not as good as the Morgan version at the top end. Won't rev much beyond 5000 rpm.
SERAL # 84941 Another all-rounder and acceptable replacement..but if you can find a 83986, buy that.
