I think it was 113, I had chassis number 51 which was registered in 1981 for a good few years.

Most books quote 118 Series ones being made between 1979 and 1981. I own chassis number 1 and am trying to find out about as many that are left as possible. I have details of about 70 cars of which about 20 are still around. I think quite a few were raced in the Tasmin challenge. If anyone has one or had one please post on here a few details, chassis and reg number please. Be interesting to know how many survivors there are.

I have two of them and know of a 3rd local to me.

One of mine is the ex Peter Wheeler car, was blur but is red now.

Thanks guys.
Thinking of purchasing one, what sort of price range are they for a good example.

Try finding a good one is the challenge.

Most seem to be rebuild state, however a red one is available at the moment which looks OK at £7.5k, think that's the only one at the moment.

Ask me about my white one in a month or two, I may sell that on.

I had this one which I think was number 7. Last seen about 10 years ago. Reg is on another vehicle now.
It was NNS 350V when I owned it. Let me know if it is still around.

Hi All
Do some series 1 have smooth bumpers instead of the ribbed ones, also seen one with no bonnet vents at all . Is this correct or has it had a bonnet replacement, I want to get an original as possible one.
Thanks.

Not that I am aware of. As per the pictures above the distinguishing features of an unmolested series 1 are the ribbed bumpers, vented bonnet, twin exposed chrome fuel filler caps, the dish style 14" wheels, a 4 speed gearbox if manual and the holes in the rear valance with the exhausts coming out of 2 of them and the rest should have mesh coverings.

I might be wrong and I seem to remember some talk of series 1.5 back in the day which may have the features you describe.

Hope you can source a good one, they are great cars.

All the best Nick
