I would assume there are dealers over in the UK that do the same, or similar, types of installations in garages. I believe I've seen ads in some of the UK motor magazines for such things.
It certainly makes a big difference in my garage which, before the installation, I couldn't keep straight and organized no matter how hard I tried.

We should start a new post,

What's going on on your driveway

For those of us without a garage

I for one fitted the Steve Heath droplinks on my driveway, what a bugger to fit they were, even after sanding down the roll bar and coupious amounts of oilly stuff (tarmac soaks up a treat) One side will not move any further on or come back off, so can't get the split pin in. Hoping after a couple of drives it will move one way or the other.

Also fixed the Astra, started the bike, and looked at damage on Vitara, all on the driveway under no cover, good job not raining or else I'd be finishing the work on the house

Oh aye, but you'd better have deep pockets to pay for it. And that's after you can afford to buy a garage that big to start with. From the look of it I'd say your garage is about the same floor area as my house (about 25 feet square - and only one storey).
Luckily the previous owner built a big (by UK standards) garage too - 30 feet by 10.

Alas all the cabinets in the world can't hide two milling machines, lathe*, sandblast, powdercoat, bandsaw, two welders, parts washer... hehe

*Actually two lathes but I've had to leave the new one at work until I sell the old one to make space... I hate selling tools, it's like cutting bits off me...

Paul - I think I found the same.

I also dry run any fitment off of the car .. and I picked the best fit for each side and the had to file one of the rollbar ends to get a good fit. I even sprayed the anti roll bar :

Make sure the rubber is in the right place and do not attach the chassis mounts until you have finished.

This weekend I will be refitting all the bits I have taken off.
New Pinstripes
New Decals
All new front lights
ARB with new ear rings
Glove box lid
New SS Kickplates


Then next weekend, new wheels and a quick dash to the MOT station

Fixed the screen washer pump last week. Got one, didn't work, get the one of my '81 SD! (standing outside for a couple of years!) and presto wash wipe is ok now. Found a fuel line not being ok, while fixing found another! Will fix that this weekend, and the garage is progressing nicely as well.

Have a nice weekend in your proper TVRs, considering the TVR soap opera currently ongoing.

Well if I can surface from the Guinness-induced coma I have several jobs to do on the ST13 (such as install the alarm and correct the fast idle); the ST11 needs a thrash round to clean up its rusty brake discs and the TVR needs its photo taking to comply with Hagerty's 'agreed value' clause.

Still working on the gear box mounting.. good progress on Saturday
with the old mount remove - many thanks to Beastie.

Other non TVR stuff to be done on Sunday - so not much progress.. but it's taking shape.. did a bit of practive welding with my new welding helmet - solar powered clear screen jobbie .. really neat

Hope to get it mostly finished during the week.

Nearly finished, most of the lights back in just waiting for the new 35s to come, new decals and pinstripe done, old droplinks off (I now have 3 pairs is anyone needs a spare) SH posting new ones out on Monday. New wheels ready Friday, so I can get him back at ground level again. adjust the doors (when I have made the spanner) a few other tiny jobs and thats it, Franks Ready

Amazingly enough I did manage to get the alarm and the digital gear indicator installed, but the throttle stop will have to wait.

The ST11 stayed indoors as the weather was crap: there'd have been even more rust on the brakes.

Pics of the TVR were duly taken; just a bloody shame I can't hide the damage just above the rear light from the insurance co.
Still, I'd rather come clean now than have them use it as an excuse later.

Weekend just gone I fitted an electric idle valve.
I had been having issues with the AAV, being on my 3rd albeit second hand one, each of them occasionally reverting to partially or fully open even when warmed up resulting in 3000rpm idle speed.
Also, and in common with a few on here judging by some past posts, idle speed was badly affected by cooling fans / headlights / power steering loadings so ended up with a choice of having idle at 1300 and no stalling or lower and then having to feather the throttle when idling to avoid stalling, impossible when trying to park.
To cure all of the above purchased a 12VDC pneumatic solenoid valve from Ebay, made a bracket so it sits exactly where the AAV sat, couple of brass hose barbs from RS and then wired up.
Through some clever wiring the solenoid opens whenever the cooling fans cut in and I have a switch to manually open it when starting from cold. It raises the idle by about 300rpm when cold and holds idle speed at 900 whatever load is put on the engine so works really well for me.
When I get round to megasquirting the cold start switch can be ditched as it will be opened depending on coolant temp.
The test run lasted an hour - forgotten how much fun it was to drive it !

With the engine and gearbox out got on with cleaning up the engine bay - years of greasy gank removed. Had a quick trip down to the local motor factor for some degreaser and for a laugh checked if he could get the gearbox and engine mounts, water pump and clutch fork.

Changed the suspension arm on an Astra as a break from cleaning.
