Changing headlight bulbs

Bit embarrassed to be posting this but I’ve had an absolute titful!
The Mrs has a new 18 plate GLA, but unfortunately it came with the bog standard halogen headlights. I’ve had brighter birthday cake candles. Done the usual, searched owners forums and came across a thread where someone had upgraded the dipped and main with LED bulbs. 2 weeks later the same bulbs arrive and I go out and attempt to fit. Managed to get the old build out but for the life of me can’t get the new or old bulbs for that matter to fit back in!!!
I’ve tried a local Merc specialist garage but they said they won’t do it as it may void the warranty?
Anyone know or could recommend somewhere that will fit them for me???
