Heading down to Cardiff with 8 friends for the T20 Eng vs India on friday 6th July.

Will be getting there about lunchtime but fancied a bar that does good food, but also would show the football as the world cup is on?

Any recommendations in the city centre that would be worth a shout?

The Prince of Wales by the train station is probably a good start, it’s a Wetherspoons so it’ll be cheap and they normally show live sport

You could head to Nr.11's (Bale's Bar). Its just opposite the castle so half way between the train station and the cricket ground if you coming in on the train.

Or

the old 'Mochen Ddu' which is now a Brewhouse is good. This is right outside the cricket ground so ideal really.

Enjoy

Don't go to what was Mochyn Ddu (or whatever it was called) now called Brewhouse, mega expensive in there since it was taken over.

I would go to Shooters sports bar which is next to the Millenium stadium or Bales bar as said above.

Shooters is a lot bigger from what I have seen

A couple of other options would be Zerodegrees, who do pretty decent pizza, or Tiny Rebel.

Both do food, although I haven't eaten in Tiny Rebel - food is a mix of burgers and pizza..

Cheers. Was looking at that today, might be a better option than Shooters.

I had a burger in Tiny Rebel and broke a tooth on this piece of bone. Weeks later I still haven’t had a reply to my email to them 😐

That's very strange. I've eaten there loads of times at the start of a night out and the food has always been good apart from the last time. I tweeted about the downturn and got hold of the manager on the night. Not only did I get a full refund but also a free meal and drinks the next time I go there.
