Serious question. Would anyone go to Argos in Neath for me and send me some curtains?

My wife has seen seen the right size/colour but of course they’re out of stock everywhere except it seems in Neath.

So it would mean collecting them and sending them along to me. I’ll cover postage and a drink if required!

TIA!

I'll be going to Skewen on either Thursday or Friday, so not far from Neath if that's any help.

I'm surprised you've managed to find a store that does have them available, Argos usual snide trick is putting something on special offer only for it to be ''unavailable for click and collect and unavailable for delivery'' for every postcode in the whole of the Uk

It looked like Neath had them and also strangely, a store on the IOW!

How did you find that out?

I didn't think their website has the option of actually showing you what area/store a product is available for collection/delivery, instead you just have to keep putting random postcodes in to try and find somewhere.

If something is out of stock in all your local stores it gives an option of ‘tell me where’ [it is in stock].

You can put in towns/cities and it will show pins around those locations and with a bit of detective work see who’s got stock.

Oh right, I mustn't have looked hard enough but i never noticed those search options on their website the other week when I was looking to buy a bed that was on "special offer" but unsurprisingly unavailable everywhere.

what would they achieve out of that?

I just thought nonexistent special price stock was just the store clearing old lines efficiently.

They're notorious for doing it and have been doing it for years.

Main reason seems to be if another large retailer has the same item available for less then Argos will drop their price and put it on "special offer" but it shows as unavailable everywhere.
As soon as the price goes back up to the normal RRP the item becomes miraculously available everywhere once again.

I was maybe being harsh. Perhaps we should compromise and meet in the middle?
