Jap/Honda Specialists

Anyone know of any Japanese or Honda car specialists in the South Wales area ?

I'm looking at getting some running issues resolved.

I have used Performance Autoworks before but its a long drive up there.
I have heard some bad stuff about Hyeline so i would prefer to stay away from there.

Heard nothing but good things from Lionel at NTF (Ninja tune factory) in Newport, and seem of his work he has turned out, which i will be honest is pretty damn good if you ask me

Agree with Pits - I've heard good things about Lionel and he seemed like an honest bloke when I met him at a Jap meet once. I've not yet required his services myself, I've always gone to Richy at Performance Autoworks for big jobs in the past.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm trying to find a quality Jap specialist (Ideally Skyline) in South Wales. There doesn't seem to be any specialists anywhere even remotely near Newport. A couple of the named businesses, Ninja Tuning, for example doesn't exist any more.

I have an R33 GTR which is due its first service since importing it. I'd also like to have it put on a dyno to make sure its running well. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be any jap specialist, or none that I know of, close to Newport. there are a couple of garages such as Whifbitz who specialise in performance jap cars, but don't have 4DW rolling road facility, nor am I certain they have enough Skyline knowledge to modify correctly. There are also a couple of EVO & Subaru specialists who have 4wd rolling road, but no knowledge or experience on early GTR's.

I'd very much appreciate if someone could point me towards a good Skyline specialist??

Have you tried Indigo GT on Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate? Or are they the Evo specialists you refer to?

They're the only ones I can think of!

Another thumbs-up for Indigo-GT. I've used them for years and find them first class.

K&P Autos in edmondstown Rhondda. 01443 434923. About ten minutes from j34 m4 off a4119. Fantastic garage. Used them for my r33 gtr for many years. They service and maintain many high performance vehicles and are extremely enthusiastic. There are others on here that use them and can't comment on how good they are. They do not have a rolling road however.

I have had quite a few skylines and travel to MGT racing in Coventry, I personally wouldn't recommend any local tuners
