Following on from Chutman's post here is anyone else from S.Wales going to the Virginia Waters meet?

If so it might be fun if we have a convoy (providing you are willing to stop at the services for some grase!)

Dick

To be honest I cant be bothered to read 4 pages.

When is it and what is it? I could be persuaded if its any good and there are some decent roads to get there

Anyone going to Pistonfest this year I didnt go last year but we could get a little convoy for that as well.

It's basically a load of car nuts meeting up. Some of the people (& cars) going can be seen here:

www.pistonheads.com/calendar/detail.asp?aid=7&did=8

I went to PistonFest last year and it was quite good. Will probably be going again this time round too

I am unable to go, which is the reason for my posting in the VW topic.

Summary = If anyone 'local' is going, would they mind bringing back a 'spare' alloy wheel for me (I've done a deal with one of the PHers who IS going). I can then arrange to meet up with them somewhere closer to home than chuffin Chelmesford!

Thanks for listening.

I would but Ireland v Wales is on the 22nd Feb.

So I will be mostly drinking and falling over.

Which is why they've probably arranged it on the Sunday rather than the Saturday. Bloody English

Any chance of any non-rugby fans in PH South Wales?

Me, I can't stand the bloody egg-chasing!

If I do go then I'll bring back the wheel no problem. Just so long as it fits in the boot of a BMW 325 and you'd be ok with collecting it from me in Cardiff.

I'll let you know nearer the time, when I know whether I can make it or not.

Good man and thank you (pending confirmation)

Cardiff is a sight closer than Chelmesford!

Wheel is from a TVR S Series, so should fit - mind you he did say it was slightly warped! Depends on HOW warped?

Yep, BadApple will be driving his Saab up and I'll be his cop-spotter

I think we'll be leaving Cardiff at about 9, hoping to get there just after 11

Chutman, send me an email if you still want us to pick up the wheel. I'll need the details of which PHer it is

I'm going, but only cause I'm going home for the weekend anyway. Shall be relying on this country's marvellous rail system to get down there instead
