Yep. My trip from the Mendlesham mast to the A14 junction is very boring. 50, 40 and now a length of 30mph past the Stonham Tap.

Since this new speed limit has been introduced 'extra' traffic has been using the quite Suffolk back roads to escape these daft low limits. Even Norfolk C.C. are seriously concerned that the new limits are going to cause trafic prob's elsewhere. Give someone the chance to represent you and this is how some council members use those powers.

I used that road today from Norwich on the way to London. What a pain it was with 50/40 and 30 mph limits - seemed to take an age to get to Ipswich.

What they need to do is Dual it all the way but that will be more expensive than a dozen 50mph signs

Is it 50 in Norfolk? There was a big disagreement between Norfolk and Suffolk councils about the new limit; Suffolk were banging on about speed kills, Norfolk said a 50 limit could cause accidents and increased congestion.

Nope. Still NSL except for Long Stratton and other 'built up' areas.

A140 south = NOT.

the accident rate has risen as well been several prangs, very few people obey the limit (according to the wife)
now the first overtaking opportunity after leaving the A14 is the scole bypass. so we're expecting many more people to fail to make it round the first round about, the second should be fun as people still try and get round slower vehicles in the longer queue of traffic leaving suffolk. the top end og the bypass should be very entertaining as people realise they are back on the normal road.

be careful scameras sit in the layby northbound on the second bit of duel as well as on the second bridge

Followed a tractor today in our shopping trolley at 40mph.

Saw the first accident 3 days after daft new limits were introduced. Car waiting to turn right and following car wops it straight up the jacksii. This was in the new safe 40mph zone.

Council are said to be monitoring effectiveness of new limits. Pity they are not monitoring the Suffolk backlanes either side as well. Makes me want to

Travel this road regularly and the imposition of 50/40/30 limit will simply change the accident profile not reduce it. Totally agree with Norfolk CC on the effect as I know people who now avoid that road like the plague.

You spend more time looking at the speed limit signs than the road, and the traffic is constantly nose to tail with little or no chance to get past.

The really cynical bit is that when you get to the A140 and the only bit of dual carriageway, the camera van sits on the bridge. Result 5 points and £595 fine.

I've been on a few cams on my push bike. I was waving (obviously) at the time. I seem to remember I was counting on my fingers at the time. One or two I'd got to....

Will a thiefcam be activated by a pusbike if the pusbike is doing over the prescribed speed limit, seeing all them charging about at 45mph would'nt alf do wonders for the ole coinitin partnership
