"BT&P"! That`s "Beer, Turkey and Pickle" - a slightly down market version of Pistonheads "Black Tie & Pie"!

Don`t know where, don`t know when, but I`m sure we`ll meet again (where have I heard that before? ) either before Christmas or after - any suitable ideas, perhaps including a night over stay to enable serious drinking?

Edited to add: We could of course encompass an Xmas lunch at our usual EAPHer watering hole at The Flying Fortress in Bury St Edmunds - this would usually be on the last Sunday of the month (the 28th November in this case). I`ll check with them to see if they are doing Xmas lunches at that time - may need to book it though!

I'm up for that - not sure about the pickle though; seems like a job for cranberry sauce IMO.
It'll be a handy chance to meet up while there are no shows happening.

Sounds interesting count me in - a friend of mine is taking on a new pub with large parking area.

Olde worlde style sort of place and does good food.

If your looking for somewhere to go maybe his place could be thrown into the pot - sorry no aeroplanes or hangers to photograph though.

I could find out about accomodation in the area. It's at a place called Panfield near Braintree, Essex - bit of a run for some but only a suggestion at the moment.

You see - the smallest mention of PICKLE and out of the wood work they come! Or is it the beer?!

This can be anything from a decent Xmas luncheon get together, or (if Billynomates gets his way ) TWO nights pickle debauchery - or is it that beer?!

Wryka - please find out some more info ok.

Billynomates - tell me more about this airfield!

BTW - for those EAPHers who haven`t met him yet (and you`ll know when you have ), Billynomates is our "Pan - county" Interloper from Surrey - and very welcome he is too!

I was considering organising a Branston pickle factory tour as well but unfortunately they had a fire recently

Big M - Suits me, anything to get away from sales How`s that FTO of yours?

NickP - If BBC`s Stuart White (him with the red socks)on Look East says Essex is part of East Anglia, that`s good enough for me! Will you be around then or will you be off on one of your trips?

Phil - "Mums" the word

My FTO is sex on wheels. Still needs a bit of work but I love driving it. I have only had it 10 weeks and have clocked up 3000 miles. eeek - on an annual mileage limit of 11,000 for the insurance. Gonna have to ease up a bit.

I'll be in east angular from 27th december, so between christmas and the new year would suit me fine! I may even brave the elements and bring the Ginetta I'll be around wroxham but not a proble to travel especially if you are all planning a large night!

That's a point - best to make the overnight bit optional for those who just want a scoff and then go home.

Sounds to me like a good scoff and drench with a wench. I shall keep reading and see where we are off to.

At the moment it looks all points east and any time from November to next February so I`ll definately find out about The Flying Fortress first to get at least one definitive watering hole
