PHEA Calendar 2017

Hello everyone!
Spring is here meaning longer days and (hopefully!) better weather, so I am pleased to announce the PHEA Calendar 2017!
We have already had a successful Early Spring Run (and New for the year), and Event Notifications are up for both the Rolling Road Day and LowiePete's Detailing Meet
So now is the perfect time for an (almost) full list of Events, which I hope will offer something for everyone.
This year, the firm favourite Events have been joined by a couple of new ones.
You'll notice there is the odd "TBC" Event and Date, which will be filled in once everything is confirmed.
FULL DETAILS for each Event will be posted in good time before that Event is due to occur.
As well as posting information in the East Anglian PistonHeads Forum, I will continuing to send out my Mailing List emails and posting the Events on our Facebook Page, too.
If there is something you like the look of now, then you can of course let me know earlier by posting in this thread or by contacting me via my profile/email.

If you prefer to sign up to an Event on our Facebook Page, I would please ask you to post a comment on that Event's Page or Message Me to confirm you'd like to attend that Event with us.
Some people like to post across the different platforms, which is absolutely fine.
If you only click the button to say you are "Going" or "Interested", I am sorry to say I cannot include you in my attendee list until you have contacted me or posted on the Event Page.
This makes planning the Events much easier! Thank you.

While all vehicles are welcome to Meets, Visits & Runs, I am often asked by PHEA members if their car is "suitable" for a Show.
PistonHeads East Anglia is all about the variety of cars and their owners. Anything fast, rare, expensive, classic or unusual is always welcome.
If you are unsure, I would simply ask yourself if you would be happy to see your car as a paying member of the public
If you are still unsure, I can always check with the Show organiser
Finally, if you have an email address amendment for my PHEA Mailing List, then please get in touch; should that be removal of an old address, informing me of a new one, or if you would like to be added to the Mailing List.
I think that about covers it for now.
I'll update the "TBC" entries as and when I have the confirmation
I hope to see you all at one of our Events during the year.

Afternoon all!
Further to my above Calendar, I can also announce this year's mid-week Meets, called Social Summer Meets, or SSM. These will take place during an MSV evening track session at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk - MAP LINK HERE.
The SSM will be held one week day evening per month from April until September.
It will be an excuse to get out on a lovely summer evening to join your fellow PHer for a good catch up, watch the track action and perhaps get on track too. Booking for track time will have to be done in advance through MSV's own website. CLICK HERE for their 2017 Car Trackday Calendar.
Our very own Fasteddys is helping organise these Events, and he has worked hard to hopefully set up a group booking for track time at a discounted rate. More details of this become available upon each meet's forum post.
THE DETAILS:
Each Meet will begin around 4:30pm and end at about 8-8:30pm, as the track time ends.
The area in which we will Meet may change from month to month, so when you arrive, just look out for fasteddy's big white truck with red "Fast Eddy" logos on the side, or a car with "GEE" on the registration
Entry to spectate at the circuit is FREE, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing. Signing on is from 3:30pm, briefing is at 4:30pm.
You are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians and other cars' movements.
Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.

I'll be joining "the other lot" to give more spaces for the Duxford Show.
Bromley Pageant is on 10th June, so can't make Sheringham.
Can I book a space at Cars on the Green, Kimbolton and Helmingham please.
I've booked early so maybe you won't forget me
Will try to make a few of the SSMs, but the ACL meets in Thurton are
more local...

Event & Date Update:
Unfortunately we shall not be heading to Sywell Classic this year.
Instead, the 24th September is the confirmed date for our annual End of Summer Run
I will again look in to the Sywell for 2018, but for this year please join us for our annual Run out to see of the Summer
