Thanks for the prompt e-mails smile

I've made payment now reference should be what was requested with 'Andy' on the end although not sure if reference might cut that off if to long.

Looking forward to meeting you all in July! plenty of time to get some new pads on as well as mine are about 60-70% worn but when I bought car from McLaren Hatfield they serviced at Lister Mercedes Stevenage and paid for new set of pads and fitting all round and although the ceramic discs are fantastic I don't like the idea of killing the pads and then damaging them otherwise it'll be an expensive day out.

Hi thought I'd just state my Merc AMG GT R went today (collected by Roman's) and the GT3 went in April so currently I'm without a fun car / track toy. I decided to take advantage of the booming markets (£28k profit on the 2 cars from what I bought them for helps against my next arrival).

But I've month to resolve that as I'm awaiting my next car due December - I'm thinking of a M2 Comp, manual box and big brake kit as a stop gap but at present can't for certain say what I'll appear in now.

Trackday Attendees Please Read

I have a couple of updates for all those who have paid via the Fasteddys group. I know of couple of us paid before a group booking was confirmed as possible. If this includes you, please ignore the following.

Snetterton will not have a full onsite booking capacity, so if you intend to add drivers or passengers please pay via the group booking to Fasteddy before the end of June.

As MSV require the group's payment in full by the end of June, I am sorry to say we cannot issue refunds after this time. After this deadline you will still be able to sell your space within the group should you no longer be able to come along. However any booking change must be by prior approval as Fasteddy's name is attached to the event. Thank you smile

See you all on the day driving

Darren

Hi there, originally when I booked I was going to attend in a AMG GT R as it happens i'll now be in a Nissan GT-R

My question is and I know it's gone beyond June can I pay for a passenger in my car and if so does it need to be done now or can I pay with MSV on the day?

As from July 19th now there is no restrictions as such on social distancing, numbers, etc, and fact myself and hopefully my +1 are all double vaccine as well just wanting to know what is preference.

Pay Fasteddy or simply book passenger on day?

Photo of what I picked up - looking forward to seeing everyone next week and hoping for some decent weather. My only concern is the drive-by (I think it could be close) so it might be a short-day for me but least will get the car a shake down regardless. I plan on going for a triple silenced exhaust but time-frame is just to short for that to occur.

Hi Andy, nice Gtr. Yes, they can be a problem on the drive by. You could try going slowly lol
Not sure what has been done to the Gtr, but they have their problems on track. We have an ex high spec Gtr owner coming on the day

I have sent all the monies and attendee details now. You can try adding a passenger on the day

Look forward to seeing you and the car on Monday

Cheers

Hi all,

Only 5 sleeps till trackday 😂

I got the confirmation email from msv today that contains important information about the event and a link for checking in and online briefing
Those that booked independantly should have an email already. Those that have booked through me, I have forwarded the email to you to the address you have registered on here. Some have failed at my server so I will try to copy and paste the whole email on here to be sure everyone check in and does the briefing so no excuses OK!
See you all on Monday around 8 at the top end of the paddock

With Eddy and myself having a little trouble emailing some of the group, I am posting the message sent to us from MSV regarding Monday's trackday smile

MSV Email said:
Dear track day customer,

PLEASE NOTE: A number of measures have been introduced to our events to ensure they can run safely. Please read the attached document very carefully prior to arriving at the circuit. Anyone not abiding by these rules will be asked to leave the venue.

Registration and safety briefing is now online and must be completed prior to arrival every time. Below is the link you need to use to check-in/register. Check-in can be done immediately please. The safety briefing will be available using this same link 24hrs prior to the event. Please forward this email onto any other participants you have booked. They will all need to click using the same link and complete the appropriate registration form using their own email address.

On arrival, you will need to show your licence and collect an attendee wristband. The registration team will need to check both the online registration and briefing has been completed. (no briefing for passengers) They are unable to issue your attendee wristband for the day until you have done so.

CHECK-IN TO YOUR EVENT NOW BY CLICKING HERE:

LATEST UPDATE ON COVID-19 MEASURES FROM 19 JULY

The Prime Minister has announced that Step 4 on the roadmap will proceed on Monday 19 July, and that all legal restrictions on social distancing will be lifted.

This news is warmly welcomed by everyone at MSVT. We are pleased to confirm that, from this date onwards, the current restrictions on the use of garages and the number of people that can attend will be dropped. Spectators will also be permitted, whilst being discouraged from entering any working areas of the venue.

We will continue to retain our online check-ins and briefings, as they have proved more convenient for participants. These will be supplemented by short on-the-day briefings.

Helmet hire will be reintroduced from 19 July (all helmets will be disinfected between use).

Face coverings are no longer mandatory in enclosed indoor spaces; however we recommend their use in busy areas. Masks will still be required for in-car instruction and ARDS tests if using an open face helmet.

Enhanced cleaning measures will be maintained, and hand sanitisers will be widely available. Circuit restaurants will be operating as normal.

What happens if I have COVID-19, or I’m required to self-isolate?

Any individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 or are self-isolating should notify us as soon as possible to discuss re-booking.

Essential information – PLEASE READ:

  • Overnight camping will be permitted at this circuit the night before or the night between two consecutive track days. In line with the restriction on access to the venue, camping will only be permitted for participants and essential helpers. Toilet facilities will be available overnight. Showering facilities will not be. Catering will continue to be a takeaway service with outside seating.
  • Venue gates are scheduled to open at 07:00. Please vacate the venue within 30 minutes of the trackday concluding.
  • Signing on is from 7.30am at the race admin office. There will be a clear queueing system in place. Please listen to instructions from the members of staff in this area and be patient. Please arrive in plenty of time and ensure you have your suitable licence. Please note passengers are to sign on after 9.30am. Facemasks are required at signing on.
  • Your car will need to be noise tested at the petrol pumps. The noise limit for the event is 105db static and will commence from 8:00am. There is a drive-by limit of 92db.
  • The sighting laps commence on circuit at 9:00am. Please ensure you have made your way into the pit lane prior to this to avoid delays.
  • Only participants and their essential helper may attend a track day. No one else, including spectating friends or family members, will be permitted. Updated government guidance does not affect this policy. Essential helpers must be over 16.
  • Each car will only be permitted a maximum of 2 additional drivers and 2 passengers. We must be made aware of all additional drivers and passengers prior to the event.
  • 1-2-1 in-car tuition (by our instructors or private hire ARDS instructors) will be permitted. Driver and instructor must have either a full face, visor-closed helmet or open face helmet with a facemask. Private hire ARDS instructors must show their instructors licence at signing on. Please note that you will need to provide your own face mask if you have booked tuition with us.
  • Please note helmet hire is not currently available.
  • Please observe two meter social distancing rules when queueing and at all other times around the venue. Hand sanitiser will be widely available around the facility.
  • Please note catering will be available on a take away basis. Face coverings must be worn when being served at ‘in door’ counters. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink to the circuit.

A garage plan will be emailed the day before the event. Once the garage plan has been emailed we are unable to add or amend. Please do not park behind or in front of other drivers reserved garages. As some will be paddock based, please bring gazebos, generators etc. if needed and ensure you spread out.

The circuit address:

Snetterton Circuit
Norwich
Norfolk
NR16 2JU

Should you have any queries regarding this please email us at trackdays@msv.com rather than telephone. We have limited staff currently, working remotely from home, but will respond as soon as possible.

We hope you have a great day. We have a weekly updates and special offers newsletter please click here if you would like to receive it. Tag us in your social pics and clips @msvtrackdays

Just getting some new front pads in, and some fresh brake fluid and I'll be all set for Monday. Might even give her a wash!

Nice to meet a few of you today and hope everyone's cars behaved for them in the hot weather.

Thanks Eddy for arranging this!

I just need to finish project Clio for the next run out, I find it more enjoyable in something lightweight and throwable especially when I enjoy Cadwell. The GT-R can be a bit like piloting the QE2 sometimes.

What an absolutely pleasure it was to spend time on track with car people again!
A whole bunch of regulars and a couple of newbies made for a wonderful group. Thank you for joining in smile
It was great fun playing out on the circuit with many of you, too driving
The Audi seemed to like the day biggrin

Thank you fasteddy for organising the food, discount and ASB once more - it was great to be back in there.
Such an enjoyable day, if quite hot (the car told me it was over 30 Celsius in the afternoon).

I hope the 2 Clios are easy fixes!
Thank you to those who didn't mind me popping out for some passenger laps.

Once I've uploaded my snaps from the day, I'll pop back here to post a link.

See you all again soon!

Darren
