Visiting for the day tomorrow while visiting the area (from North Yorkshire), don’t particularly fancy the park and ride (masks & being tied to timetable), what are best/safest city centre parking options where I can leave my car safely - cost/price not a factor

If I am in the city centre for a few hours then I always use the Castle Mall car park. It’s underground under the shopping centre on the east side of the city centre. Never had any issues and easy to get in and out of traffic wise as right on the inner ring road. Cost is typical for a city centre but not a rip off for a few hours

The Forum is a good spot as well. Depending on the car, if it’s particularly long, might be best to avoid.

If cost isn’t an option, Chapelfield (now Chantry Place) is your best bet.

I use JustPark. There are a couple of nice driveways in Pottergate that people rent out. Very close to the centre but very safe and quiet

Thanks, newish 992C2S, so not long, but not narrow either :-)

Thanks all, Chantry Place was perfect (about one-third full, large sections deserted)
