Norfolk Holes!

Hi all, have any of you put a claim in against the council for a puncture and been paid out? Any tips for trying to guarantee I get some money? I hit the mother of all holes coming home from work around midnight a few days ago and it completely destroyed my tyre and buckled my wheel!

The bonus is that it hasnt had any road marking paint around it so Council are not aware so far of the pothole.

From what I hear its a long process but you will need to stick to your guns with as much photographic proof as possible. Dated images are a bonus as well as before the impact if you have them.
Where was it? Is there any previous reference to the pothole on any social media 'neighbourhood' groups that can be used as evidence of said holes existance and thereby lack of council action?
