As the present "traditional" meeting place (The Angel near Larling) is a bit limited for space/seating etc (and as numbers are increasing), a suggestion has been put forward by one of our "regulars" for a bigger (and more central?) venue.

Namely "The flying fortress", Mount Road, Great Barton, Bury St Edmunds Suffolk, IP31 2QU. Tel: 01284-787665.

If you have a preference for either, just register your thoughts on here. The next meeting is on the 23rd May as already posted on another thread but the venue can be changed immediately if wanted.

Great idea!

Plenty of parking at the pub, easy to find, nice bar staff...particularly the blonde young lady

Subject to an agreed change of venue, I will be there on Sunday!

Sounds good to me. Perhaps it's a B17 converted into a pub???! Now that's what I call a theme!
Look forward to seeing you there this Sunday avec Chim.

Ian, I’ll definitely do my best to be there particularly as it’s about 2 miles down the road.

Seems you all had a good on Hoon last Sunday, unfortunately I’ve mailed Ted as I didn’t receive any e-mail giving the old ‘time and place’ thing so missed it all together.

Mind you as pointed out to Ted in my e-mail I did manage to put the Kerridge 3R through 500 degrees at Rockingham trying to chase (hugely unsuccessfully) Phil Bennett’s M400 development car on their last track day. I may be paranoid but was wondering if that nice Mr Kerridge didn’t want me anywhere near one of his cars ever again.

Daxtojero. The last village on the A143before BSE is Great Barton, pass through and you’ll come to the very first roundabout outside BSE where you need to turn left.. You’ll come to some traffic lights by a railway bridge, carry on for about half a mile and turn left at the next roundabout. You’ll pass through a bleedin great housing estate towards the village of Thurston and the ‘flying fort’ is on your right after about a mile.

Or go to www.multimap.co.uk and enter 'IP31 2QU' - it's only about 1m east of Bury.

So no one is confused...

The Sunday 23rd May lunchtime meet is at the Flying Fortress Pub near Bury St Edmunds (IP31 2QU) at 1.30pm.

Hope to meet a few more PHers then...

Don`t you worry about it Toffer, just leave it to SimpoTwo and I to try and contact about 70 phers to re-organise it all to suit you

But seriously, your wish looks like being granted as most who have made contact either on here or via email have expressed a positive response for this new venue so I`ll put a new post up later almost certainly confirming it
