NW200 - recommendations

I'm planning a trip from Glasgow across the water to watch the main races on Sat 16th (one day trip on the ferry over from Cairnryan to Larne). I'll be travelling by bike - looking for recommendations as to where in the circuit to watch from. What's the traffic like, can I just ride up and park/watch the action, or is it more complicated than that? Thanks in advance, Alan
Of course you can just ride up and watch, parking is easy for bikes, slightly harder for cars but no big shakes. As for watching location the best and most popular spots are the Metropol Corner in Portrush, along the coast road between there and Portstewart, especially Juniper Hill and then York Corner in Portstewart. Depending on how much you want to spend you can go for the full grandstand seat at the start/finish and supplement that with a paddock pass as well. The world is your oyster. Else just turn up like thousands of others and hang over the verges with the purchase of a programme (optional) to help with race funding. HTH.
